Become Part of the Solution: A Call to Action for Men

I first learned about My Life My Choice when I was a prosecutor working to hold individuals who sexually exploited children accountable. I got involved with the organization after seeing firsthand the horrific damage and trauma that is inflicted on those who are trafficked.

As a man, I felt a sense of responsibility to take an active role in trying to end the commercial sexual exploitation of children—particularly as someone who looks like those responsible for the problem.

I feel it is incumbent upon me and other men like me to be part of the solution.

As a prosecutor working on cases of commercial sexual exploitation, I saw the darkest parts of humanity on a daily basis, but My Life My Choice presented a bright spot in that world—helping to restore those traumatized by this horrific industry and empowering survivors. This incredible organization quickly transitioned into more than the backbone of the victim-centered work I was doing, but part of my life and philosophy.

Today, as a member of the My Life My Choice Advisory Board and Chair of the Male Allies Committee, I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to witness regularly the incredible impact that My Life My Choice has on those it serves, changing the community for the better, and driving conversation and action to end commercial sexual exploitation.
