Young Professionals

The young professionals involved with My Life My Choice are a diverse group of emerging leaders between the ages of 21 and 35 years old. They bring expertise from a range of different fields, backgrounds and experience levels to fight for a world where no one is bought or sold. This initiative is a key extension of My Life My Choice’s commitment to engage all sections of our community in shifting perspectives and changing systems that give rise to commercial sexual exploitation. 

Involvement Opportunties

There are several ways for young professionals to join the fight. We offer leadership roles through our Young Professionals Advisory Board, as well as many direct volunteer opportunities. Additionally, we host multiple young professional events annually.  

Young Professionals Advisory Board (YPAB)

Through this volunteer initiative, young professionals collaborate closely with My Life My Choice’s staff to create awareness and shift minds about commercial sexual exploitation. YPAB members join a committee for 2-3-year terms and have the opportunity to assume various leadership roles. They receive sexual exploitation prevention training and work together to bolster My Life My Choice’s fight against the illegal sex industry. 

Alternatively, individuals are able to get involved as Committee Volunteers for more occasional involvement. This entails participation in specific tasks or projects for shorter periods of time.  

Young Professional Events 

My Life My Choice hosts multiple young professional events annually, which are generally open to all those interested. These gatherings are an opportunity to learn more about My Life My Choice’s work and to network with like-minded professionals in a warm and convivial environment.
